BLP
adopted
a local
charity,
The
Bluebellwood
Hospice
/ The
Richard
Foundation.

Technology Challenge
2007 |
|
|
|
For the past
3 years BLP
have taken part
in the Business
& Education
South Yorkshire
Technology Challenge,
whereby local
companies are
teamed up with
a pyramid of
Schools and
set the pupils
(age group 10-11
year olds) a
challenge based
on a current
problem for
the business.
This year we
worked
with
the Hatfield
pyramid of schools
and
we set
the challenge
based on a very
topical subject,
its carbon footprint.
The winning
school at
the final
event held
in July
was Hatfield
Sheep Dip
Lane, who
were commended
for their
research
and understanding
of the subject
as well
as the quality
and creativity
of their
work.
Part of
the winning
prize to
Hatfield
Sheep Dip
Lane was
for BLP
to donate
a Tree to
be planted
in the school
grounds
along with
a commemorative
plaque,
as well
as implementing
the character
into an
internal
campaign
at BLP.
